Integrating Multimap's API with Classic Multimap XML Products

Integration using the MMSearch class

The Multimap API now allows you to link its search functionality to that of any of your existing classic Multimap HTML or XML products that contains a table of addresses, such as Storefinder, Location Map or In-line with Geocoding. This might be useful, for example, if you are upgrading to the API from an existing service but do not wish to duplicate your existing data.

To link the API to an existing Multimap service, specify the "data_source" field of the MMSearch class as shown below, replacing "[api_key]" with the service client name of your own existing service.

search.data_source = 'mm.clients.[api_key]'

Instances of of this code can be found in any of the search examples. The MMSearch class is described fully in the API documentation at: http://www.multimap.com/share/documentation/api/1.2/classes/.
