Multimap logo Multimap API V1.2 JavaScript Examples - Implementation Guidelines

The Multimap API offers programmatic access to best-of-breed location services, allowing you to build highly-interactive websites. Before you start building your applications, we advise you to read this document first and then read the release notes before moving on to the examples below. These examples show how you can use many of the various features of the API; you are also free to implement the API in other ways.

The Multimap API comes with its Mapping and Geocoding modules as standard, but also now offers the new Searching, Routing (including the optional Carbon Emissions module), Local Information and Weather modules. If you do not have access to any of these new modules and would like to be able to use their features, please contact your Multimap account manager.

The Multimap API allows you to add static maps as well as draggable maps to your implementations. You may wish to display a static map as a "fallback" for those users whose browser configuration does not support the Multimap JavaScript API. For details of how to do this, please see the Static Maps "Fallback" example.
