Multimap API V1.2 JavaScript Example
The Multimap Open API now allows you to check for available map coverage before panning, zooming or moving a map to a new location; this means that, if a user requests a map at a zoom factor that is unavailable, the map viewer shows a map at the nearest available zoom factor. This option is enabled by default.
In certain areas we are not able to offer full map coverage; in these areas, we offer a tile explaining this.
If you view this in your browser you should see a Multimap draggable map centered on Nairobi, Kenya, at zoom factor 12.
This service does not offer street-level coverage of Nairobi beyond zoom factor 12, so clicking on the "Nairobi Zoom Level 13" link demonstrates the effect of the API's 'check coverage' feature:
