Multimap Appoints Eric Brown as Head of Technology

Multimap, one of the world’s leading providers of online mapping services, today announced the appointment of Eric Brown as its new Head of Technology.

Eric brings to Multimap a wide range of skills and experience, including many years working on software and systems for the oil industry and, most recently, at the National Lottery. In March 2001, Eric was the first technical member of the National Lottery's interactive unit, in which he established and built a technical team of 180 people to deliver the National Lottery on the web, mobile and interactive TV.

Eric’s chief responsibility at Multimap is to ensure the continued delivery of the world-class systems and services that have earned Multimap its reputation for excellence across the globe. Heading up a 40-strong team of technology consultants and developers, Eric is responsible for client project implementation, program and product management, product development, operations and systems architecture. Under Eric’s leadership, the Multimap technology team is currently designing and rolling out large projects for a range of big-name clients including Yell.com and Ford Global.
