Join Us: Senior Technical Account Manager (UK)

The Multimap Client Implementation team manages the technical relationship with Multimap's key account and high-end customers. The team also participates in pre-sales activity, project management of bespoke customer development work, and post-implementation support.

We are now seeking to expand the London-based team with the addition of a Senior Technical Account Manager. The successful candidate will be a team player with good technical, communication, and problem-solving skills and experience of technical customer support. They will be a self-starter who is enthusiastic about taking responsibility for complete customer satisfaction and project delivery. They will need to be comfortable dealing with clients at all levels and able to communicate appropriately, sensitively and clearly on both technical and management issues.

The role involves:

• Technical Account Management - Liaising with the client's technical and management team to enable them to successfully implement Multimap products and get the most out of them.
• Technical Pre Sales - To work with the Sales team to devise solutions for client needs and determine the suitability of Multimap solutions. Writing some technical aspects of client proposals. Providing technical representation at client and prospect meetings.
• Requirements Gathering - To develop the scope of projects at inception. This will involve liaison with clients, interfacing with the Multimap sales team to provide solutions to clients, and obtaining sign-off on the project scope from project stakeholders.
• Project Delivery and management - Project manage bespoke changes to Multimap services, and coordinate implementation by the client with the Multimap technical team. Provide estimates on project scope - duration and cost and responsibility for delivery on time and budget.
• Post Implementation Support - helping clients with ongoing issues post implementation of a Multimap solution.

Candidate Requirements:

• 5 years of experience of IT project management; internet projects an advantage.
• Experience in recognized project management methodologies/techniques applied to the technical project life cycle
• Strong commercial awareness
• Technically literate in web technologies.
• Ability to liaise with, present to and manage clients
• Experience of bid management and proposal writing
• Business analysis skills.
• Strong development background.

Desirable:

• Experience of GIS or digital mapping technologies.
• Multi-lingual.

Other requirements:

• Some UK and European travel required.
• This position is based in our London office.
