Join Us: Management Accountant

Multimap is looking for a capable and motivated Management Accountant to report into the Financial Manager in developing the Multimap finance function. Multimap is continuing to grow rapidly, and we are seeking to develop our finance function to support this growth. We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active candidate with a commercial mind, who can understand how the various parts of the business need to interact to help grow the company, and who will help develop relationships and systems to see that through. As part of a small finance team, the candidate will need to flexible and have an ability / willingness to "roll sleeves up" to get the job done.

The role involves:

• Focus of this role is on the main UK entity in the group as well as some Group Consolidated tasks
• Accounts preparation, specifically internal monthly management accounts, including:
  • Sales ledger (from control of production of invoices from sales orders to revenue calculation and reporting)
  • Supplier returns
  • Inter-company transactions
  • Multi-currency
  • Accruals & prepayments
  • VAT returns
  • Balance sheet reconciliations (sales, purchases, bank, payroll)
• Support for / involvement with:
  • Company consolidation
  • Similar activities for other subsidiaries
  • Annual external audit process
  • Support for performance measurement & analysis, e.g. monthly reporting against budget & last year, departmental cost analysis & review
  • Support for statutory / regulatory filings, including statutory & tax returns, etc.
• Other ad-hoc financial and operational tasks & analysis

Candidate Requirements:

• Part-qualified UK accountant (CIMA, possibly ACCA / ACA)
• Commercial experience
• Some experience with management accounts / accounts preparation is desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently but knowing when to ask for help
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Systems experience desirable
