Deloitte Congratulates Multimap on its Entry into the Technology Fast 50 Awards, and Names its Founder and Chairman, Sean Phelan, as 'Entrepreneur of the Year'

Deloitte Touche, the largest accounting organization in the world, applauded Multimap's entry into its Technology Fast 50 league for London and the South, at its awards evening yesterday in London. With Multimap's revenue growth from 2000 to 2004 reaching almost 1,000% (from £0.6 million to £5.4 million), its place in the top ten of the prestigious ranking of fastest-growing high-technology companies in the region was assured.

In addition to Multimap coming eighth in the ranking, the company's founder and chairman, Sean Phelan, was named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year' (Deloitte's Special Award for 2005). This award was based on a rigorous assessment of the business acumen in the commercialization or use of technology of today's leading technology entrepreneurs in London and Southern England.

Accepting the award for ‘Entrepreneur of the Year', Sean Phelan, founder and chairman of Multimap, said, "I am very pleased to accept this prestigious award.
