Multimap appoints Chris Warrick Development Director

Multimap, Europe's leading provider of online mapping services, has appointed location-based services expert, Chris Warrick, to become its new Development Director.

Chris’s remit covers all software, product and project development. His chief responsibility is to design and drive Multimap’s Product Roadmap for its popular public website, and for its range of internet mapping services for businesses. Heading up a 14-strong team of consultants, Chris oversees client project implementation, technology and services delivery, and product development. He is currently designing and rolling out projects for a range of big-name clients including Ford Europe, IBM, BT and Intercontinental Hotels.

Chris has almost two decades’ experience in the IT and Management Consultancy industries, focusing primarily on the design and specification of IT requirements for customer and marketing database systems. Before joining Multimap, he was founding Managing Director of TrackView Communications, a specialist supplier operating in the vehicle-, asset- and personnel-tracking arena. Prior to that, as Development Manager at the GIS software specialist, InfoTech Enterprises Europe (formerly Dataview Solutions), he was responsible for building the company’s software from scratch and guiding its entry into the vehicle tracking market.

“I’m delighted to join the team here at Multimap. The challenges associated with ensuring that we continue to deliver online location-based services to more businesses than any other provider in Europe and indeed that we develop our business on a global front, are vast. I feel confident that, with such an experienced and passionate team behind us, we will certainly achieve our objectives.”

Sean Phelan, founder and chairman of Multimap.com, said, “In response to a substantial increase in the number of large-scale projects taken on by Multimap, there has been a corresponding need to design and drive a detailed Product Roadmap. This is where Chris comes in. His extensive experience with major projects for heavyweight players will contribute significantly to our continued growth on pan-European projects in particular. We’re really excited to have him on board.”
