Multimap and eMapSite Announce Strategic Partnership at GeoSolutions 2003

Multimap, Europe's leading online mapping company, announces a strategic partnership with digital mapping provider eMapSite, at the GeoSolutions Conference, 2003. The deal enables users of Multimap.com’s public site to buy maps like those shown on Multimap for their own business or personal use, online, and at low cost.

Multimap users select the relevant area by entering a postcode, road or place name on the Multimap site. They then click the “Buy this map” button, to the left of the map image on Multimap, which is linked to a co-branded Multimap/eMapSite service. Users select the required map scale and image size, choose the usage licence that’s right for them, and, once payment is processed, become licence holders of the desired digital map for one year.

Commenting on the deal, Jeff Kelisky, chief executive officer at Multimap.com said, “Our partnership with eMapSite is a natural complement to our existing services. We aim to make the lives of our customers as easy as possible. With eMapSite, we can now offer businesses a simple and cost-effective way to purchase a licence to use maps in printed materials, such as brochures, presentations and promotional material.
