Nectar Users Find Their Nearest Rewards Suppliers and Nectar Sponsors Thanks to Multimap

Online customers of Nectar, the UK’s largest rewards programme, can now locate their nearest Rewards suppliers and Nectar sponsors as a result of a deal with Multimap, Europe’s leading online mapping and location-based services provider. The added functionality drives traffic to Rewards supplier stores including Argos, Blockbusters, Café Uno, Cannons Health and Fitness Clubs, Kodak Express and Lunn Poly, and to Nectar sponsor outlets such as Sainsbury’s, bp, Debenhams, Threshers and Vodafone. The site enhancement makes for a positive and pleasant online experience for the end-user, boosting site usage frequency and, ultimately, programme loyalty.

To access the search function for the nearest Rewards supplier of their choice, users of www.nectar.com click on the “Rewards” tab at the top of the homepage, followed by the “Find Rewards in your area” link that appears on the left of the screen. They then enter their postcode or town/city, select their desired supplier, and specify the distance from the location entered within which they would like to conduct the search. They can select one of six radial distances, ranging from five miles to 30 miles. Multimap delivers a list of all Rewards suppliers fitting the user’s specifications, in order of proximity to the location entered. This includes full address, distance from area entered, and a link to a map of the surrounding area. The exact whereabouts of the supplier selected appears as an icon on the map, and users can pan North, South, East or West, and zoom in or out to adjust the view.

To find their nearest Nectar sponsors, users of the site can reach the same functionality via the “Sponsors in your area” tab, accessed from the “Earn Points” tab at the top of the homepage. They go through the same process as that outlined above to view a list of the nearest outlets where they can earn Nectar points, in order of proximity to the area entered, and access detailed maps of the area surrounding their store of interest.
