Multimap Launches Two New Vehicle Tracking Services to Boost Security and Productivity Worldwide for Fleet Managers

Sagge SAS is the one of the first customers to implement Multimap’s “Multi-Vehicle Tracking” and “Reverse Geo-Coding” services globally

Multimap, Europe’s leading provider of online mapping services, today launched two new ASP vehicle tracking services, “Multi-Vehicle Tracking” and “Reverse Geo-Coding”, to enhance security and productivity for fleet managers. “Multi-Vehicle Tracking” enables fleet managers to view the location of their entire fleet at a glance, and to track the movement of a mobile asset over the previous 24 hours or longer. “Reverse Geo-Coding” allows users to receive textual information on the location of vehicles, across many platforms. This is the ideal solution for accurate, detailed and quick report creation. The new services enable users to track their vehicles and people anytime, anywhere.

Sagge SAS, among France’s most active and fast developing telematics specialists and service providers, is one of the first customers to implement Multimap’s new vehicle tracking services globally. It offers the services to its clients via a password-protected interface. Users simply log in and select to view the movements of a given vehicle or entire fleet over a specified period of time. Multimap delivers the results on a map, and Sagge is able to customise the icons which plot the vehicles’ locations. All maps have zoom in/out and pan N,S,E,W functionality.

François Gaillard, CEO Sagge SAS, said, “Multimap’s vehicle tracking services help to boost the efficiency of the vehicle tracking services that we offer to our clients. By enabling them to see the exact location of individual vehicles and entire fleets, not only can they monitor their resources better, but they can also react quickly to new job requests. The resultant increases in logistical efficiencies and security cannot be underestimated and we’re delighted with the services.”

Jeff Kelisky, CEO, Multimap, commented, “We are pleased to launch these new services and are delighted that Sagge has chosen them to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of its clients’ activities in the vehicle tracking space. Fleet managers benefit enormously from the services. By being able to view the history of vehicles’ movements as both textual and visual information at a glance, they are better equipped to monitor fleets and issue reports. We’re seeing quite a lot of interest in these services from global fleet managers. Feedback has been very positive, with many customers citing our extensive and up-to-date mapping coverage, the reliability of our service, our proven record of rapid deployment, and the flexibility of our services as reasons for choosing Multimap.”
